In just a few days, the 26th Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon will begin! Held on the sands of Zuma Beach in Malibu, the Nautica Malibu Triathlon is one of the nation’s most iconic triathlons. The excitement is building in Malibu and it will continue to elevate as thousands of phenomenal athletes arrive in preparation for the big event.
We’re honored to be the temporary home for many of the participants this week and throughout the weekend, and we plan to take great care of them! As always, we’ll have both in-room and in-spa treatments available, and we’ll be offering a special Triathlon Menu featuring carb-friendly dinners and protein-filled breakfasts. We’ll also have breakfast available to-go. Best of all, guests and outside patrons who order from this menu will receive 15% off their entire bill.
We’ll be hosting a private Opening Party at Carbon Beach Club on Friday, September 14 and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve had the honor of hosting this event for several years now, and it’s always such an amazing opportunity for participants to connect with one another and get geared up for the race. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served and chair massages will be available, courtesy of CURE SPA. This event is private to invited guests only.
The Herbalife International Distance race will be held on Saturday, September 15 and will feature a 1.5K Pacific Ocean swim, a 40K out-and-back bike course along the Pacific Coast Highway and a 10K out-and-back run course on pavement and blacktop along the sands of Zuma Beach.
The Classic Distance race will be held on Sunday, September 16 and will feature a half-mile ocean swim, an 18 mile out-and-back bike course and a 4-mile out-and-back run course. The course goes through some of the most beautiful roads in Malibu, with spectacular views of the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
Both events will be held rain or shine, and spectators are welcome! We hope to see you there!
