Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Carbon Beach Club
Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, which can only mean one thing…it’s time for a Mexican celebration at Malibu Beach Inn!
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has become a wonderful celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations.
So we figured, what better way to celebrate this festive occasion than with some of our favorite Mexican dishes, like Sopa de Tortilla, Ceviche, Mole, Taquitos and of course, mouth-watering Carne Asada, all crafted by our Chef de Cuisine Victor Morales!
And a fiesta just wouldn’t be complete without a specialty Mexican Cocktail, like a fresh Mojitorita, a zesty El General or a spicy-sweet Jalapeno Margarita. If you happen to have started celebrating earlier in the weekend, we can fix you up with a Michelada, the traditional Mexican hangover cure.

Spring is just around the corner and with the changing of the seasons, we’re delighted to announce the introduction of a new dinner special at our very own Carbon Beach Club… Tapas Tuesdays!
Beginning this Tuesday, February 26, we’ll be offering a delicious assortment of tapas - small savory Spanish dishes - every Tuesday night from 3:30pm until late. Select just a couple of your favorite tapas and create your own delectable meal or bring along some friends and try them all!
Chef de Cuisine Victor Morales is always intent on emphasizing what is fresh, in-season and local, and his tapas menu is no exception. From the pickled organic, locally-farmed vegetables to the olive oil poached ahi tuna, he’ll have your taste buds singing with delight!
And what goes better with tapas than tongue-tantalizing Sangria… Choose from Red, White or Spicy to add the perfect festive flair!

Start your meal with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a toast to the good life! Then let the culinary adventure begin with a gourmet roast chestnut soup, followed by a selection of seasonal salads.
Choose from four different entrees, including hearty favorites like pork belly, french hen or a beef duo, as well as savory alternatives like barbecue salmon and pumpkin ravioli, all accompanied by a variety of delectable sides.
And of course, no holiday is complete without a mouthwatering dessert. Indulge in a scrumptious chocolate lava cake with peppermint whip cream or a classic sugar plum tar with eggnog ice cream. After all, the New Year may be the time for resolutions, but Christmas is a time for celebration!
