Our Thanksgiving Day Feast
November was rather a rather tumultuous time for our seaside community, as The Woolsey Fire came in and created such immense chaos. The threat and destruction pushed out quite a few of us through mandatory evacuations. Meanwhile, flames consumed walls, ate through ceilings, erratically skipped structures, opting instead for a house three doors down.
But fortuitously and thanks to the courageous first responders, our side of town was incredibly lucky and still stands, exempt from the fire’s impact. We were thrilled to re-enter our beloved Inn on November 15th, bolt cutter in hand. And on Wednesday, November 21st we were finally able to welcome guests back in.
Of course the next logical thing to do was throw a party – one for the entire community. Anyone and everyone impacted was invited to come eat and enjoy with us!
So on Thanksgiving Thursday we flung open our doors (metaphorically) and threw a Thanksgiving Day Feast for the community!
Our friends and partners really showed up to help us love on the Malibu community!

And copious amounts of luxurious chocolates from Vosges Haut-Chocolat.
Blankets and shirts were donated for any and all who needed a little warmth by The Simsolo Family and Next Level Apparel.
It was a magical event, and we’re so grateful for everyone who came, helped, supported, promoted, enjoyed!
It was a wonderful event but we’re thrilled to be back to normality, and look forward to helping our neighbors rebuild.
