Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, which can only mean one thing…it’s time for a Mexican celebration at Malibu Beach Inn!
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has become a wonderful celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations.
So we figured, what better way to celebrate this festive occasion than with some of our favorite Mexican dishes, like Sopa de Tortilla, Ceviche, Mole, Taquitos and of course, mouth-watering Carne Asada, all crafted by our Chef de Cuisine Victor Morales!
And a fiesta just wouldn’t be complete without a specialty Mexican Cocktail, like a fresh Mojitorita, a zesty El General or a spicy-sweet Jalapeno Margarita. If you happen to have started celebrating earlier in the weekend, we can fix you up with a Michelada, the traditional Mexican hangover cure.
